About Word2Markdown

We're on a mission to make document conversion secure, fast, and accessible to everyone.

Our Story

Word2Markdown was born out of frustration with existing document conversion tools that required uploading sensitive documents to unknown servers. As developers and content creators, we needed a solution that respected privacy while delivering excellent results.

In 2024, we set out to build the document converter we wished existed - one that works entirely in your browser, requires no registration, and produces clean, standardized Markdown output every time.

Today, Word2Markdown is used by thousands of developers, writers, and teams worldwide who value privacy, simplicity, and reliability in their document conversion workflow.
